Have you heard of Grammy award winning band Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets?
Tim Kubart and his Space Cadets touchdown in Barbados recently and not only did they entertain some schools around the island, but they sat down with our Empress Zingha. We invite you to meet Grammy award winning Tim and his group who rock and educate children all over. Yes there is a Grammy for Children’s Rock! Thanks to the US Embassy Bridgetown, the group who made the trip is made up of dancer Philippe, keyboardist Diana and percussionist Chad along with Tim of course. They touch on the origin of their name, working with children, travelling during the pandemic, and even intellectual property. Embrace the video above for the full story. Now below we had some fun with the guys and tested their knowledge on Barbados so far.
Make sure to watch that video with us playing the little game and tell us how did you think they did on their knowledge of Bim after being here a couple days!
Now we are sure some of you are asking what exactly is Children’s Rock and maybe wondering if it sounds anything like the Sesame Street songs we grew up with. Well you don’t have to wonder any more because Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets graced us with a quick performance as well. Watch it down below and let us know if their song Dancing In The Kitchen isn’t all sorts of catchy.
You can keep up with what Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets right here:
Special thanks again to the US Embassy Bridgetown and of course our friends Tamara and Jim of Beat Studios!
