The twenty-18 season of Mahalia’s Corner kicked off with a wicked session at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. In the words of the featured artist for the night the Caribbean Queen and Cultural Ambassador Alison Hinds, she “shell down de whole place”. 2 Mile Hill and friends ignited the stage with memorable performances highlighted with surprise spotlight artist Kweku Jelani, a sweet open mic, and of course an Al-i-SON 😊 Hinds performance you would never expect.
