Nation Linguist is a collaborative initiative between Frenetic Arts and the Barbados Museum and Historical Society. Highlighting and carrying on the legacy of Kamau Brathwaite. This is an incubator which will give Barbadian poets and spoken word artists the incredible opportunity to take up residency in the BMHS for a three-month period and allow them the space and time to develop through interaction with Barbadian history and heritage. The poet-in-residence will create work for exhibition at the culmination of their residency period, as well as hosting workshops, and receiving mentorship from the island’s recognised griots.
