Breast Cancer.

Two words merged together simply in a sentence, that uproot friends and family so easily. So many of us in the community have witnessed, been diagnosed with, heard a story about: breast cancer. For the month of October, we wanted to use our platforms, to amplify those stories yes, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿.

While the phrase #FeelUpYaBubbies may rub some people the wrong way, I believe it jolts action into women to remember how important it is to check yourself.

I have lost two beautiful friends to this disease, my neighbor 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧🎀, and Jazz Vocalist 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐱🎀. My closest friend, Dr. Janelle Bryan, who is in this video is a 𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐕𝐎𝐑 💗 of breast cancer 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘴.

Ladies, check your breasts please, get regular mammograms early detection and diagnosis saves lives. Yes men, you too! Even though not as heavily spoken about, 𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳. Ask questions, 🗣️𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒! 𝐃𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐄! 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐬𝐤!

I thank you for taking the time to watch the video. I know for some it may be lengthy, but these stories were important.

𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮, 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚, 𝙅𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙗𝙖, 𝙉𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞, 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙖, 𝙈𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙖, 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙣, 𝙉𝙞𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙖 thank you for being open with me and giving permission to share and taking time to speak.
