Intrigued after seeing Buggy Nhakente perform in the Gap, the other night, GineOn?! caught up with the rising star to find out what he was up to. On the first Sunday of each month for the next period, The Buggy Nhakente Experience produces a well rehearsed and executed show. Here, we witness the artistry of Buggy Nhakente in full flow. Beyond mere professionals playing songs for captured audiences, this musical experience rivets, paying tribute to Buggy’s philosophy and professionalism. It should not be missed.
A consummate professional Buggy’s discipline remains constant, he says, “Rehearse and practice, make sure I’m in a good space mentally and spiritually and hydrate.” Of the process? Buggy reflects: “I learned that I knew nothing and that it was also okay to not know. When you have the idea that you already know or you understand it all you do not open up yourself to a new process. I learned about my comfort zones, my sloppiness, where I’m least efficient when operating. One of highlights though was and still is learning how to make my weaknesses my strengths.”
What happens on the next page for Buggy?, he stated, “I’m currently working on my EP scheduled to be out early 2023. Continue to build The Buggy Nhakente Experience. Thanks to the guidance of my team Odyssey Entertainment, I’ve positioned myself to be able to to work with producers such as Dennis Moody and Devine Evans, my single ‘2 Face’ has been making a steady climb on the media based charts and currently at 52 so I now have more ability to attract meaningful investment as we continue to build and develop my brand.”
Look out for the Buggy Nhakente Experience at pop-up events this month.
