It’s not everyday that you get to spend a day introducing genuine Bajan community to a man who absorbs culture for a living. Yvan Rodic, has been to 127 countries capturing the portraits and places that define the DNA of its people so of course when Levi King, D.J Simmons and Empress Zingha had the opportunity to link with him on his 24 hour tour of Barbados, we just roll!
We crafted a journey listening to stories from artisans in Pelican Village and Cheapside, taking in sno cones, natural juices, and fish cakes, observing how Broad Street and Swan Street so close but so different, meeting and speaking with all kinds of artists along the way, and stopped to take in views on top Cherry Tree Hill. As you would expect we had we cameras, so before the day ended in front an Oistins fish platter we sat down with the Instagram influencer to reason with him lil bit about what drives him to fly all bout the place and what made his stay in Barbados special.
