Full Interview with Alison Sealy-Smith, the voice actor of Storm in the X-Men ’97 animated series
The voice of Storm in X-Men ’97 The animated series, is from Barbados! After the first two episodes’ release on a March 20th, Empress Zingha from GineOn.com sat with Alison Sealy-Smith to speak not only about the launch, and the impact of Storm being a Bajan, but her legacy within the Acting fraternity.
One of her favorite things from the series, she says, is the fans. The people who feel seen because of the story arcs the series had brought, like the attention to a more darker, and pronounced skin tone of Ororo Munroe.
She also speaks about her Barbadian heritage, and the pride she has for her country Barbados, what she is hopeful about when her grandchildren hear her voice and adding her own matured, internalized process, to the character, these thirty plus years being a part of the franchise.
Also, check out our Lightning Question Round with Sealy-Smith, as she answers some fun questions, from her fans here in Barbados, on behalf of Storm of course.
Thank you so much for watching! If you love the story, share it with your friends! Also check out this video we did earlier with Alison as she was preparing to film for the iconic role!
