Freedom Festival 2021

The Freedom Festival is an annual celebration of the season of Emancipation and the Crop Over festival. An online art festival that paints a digital stage to inspire creatives and attract international audiences to the work that frees us. Explore talent expressed in Theatre, Spoken Word, Literary Arts, and more.

Under the umbrella that is 2021 we reach out with the theme BRIDGING THE GAP. We seek to combine the people and stories of various generations to link through art, conversation and community.

The poster features the spirit of dancer Shea Best. The Freedom Festival is produced by Gine On?! in collaboration with Dr. John Hunte, Nailah Imoja, Ayesha Gibson-Gill and other wise minds. And of course supported by you, lovers of art and the edutainment that will decorate this page in July and August 2021.
