Unexpected melodies cross the bridge between Reggae and Latin rhythms making hips swing on the rim shot of ‘She’s All Island’, Barbadian David Kirton’s first single from his new album ‘All Island’ releasing Sept 27 under UK label Right Recordings and produced by Jamaica’s Mikie Bennett. Boundaries expand with mysterious guitars and visual lyrics all wrapped in a sultry piano played by some of JA’s hottest musicians. Kirton’s composition for the song was influenced by Harry Belafonte’s Calypso album on which a few songs were written by Kirton’s late father-in-law, William Attaway, the way Belafonte presented Matilda, described her and brought her to life for International audiences was Kirtons inspiration.
