Event Details

Established fourteen years ago, “De Big Show” continues to redefine the appreciation and presentation of Calypso music.

Having accomplished all of its early goals of winning every major title contested during the Crop Over season as well as re-establishing the “mature” audience once considered lost to the festival, new targets and goals have been set for the coming season and beyond.

Boasting a cast of Calypso royalty, icons, it is the intention of “De Big Show” to be recognized as the premier Calypso and Soca show in the region. We are proud of our achievements over the last 13 years, and we now look forward, continuing to create, even more, memorable moments in the 2019 season and beyond. Our sponsors and patrons as is customary will be treated to a bigger, better and bolder entertainment package second to none on the island.

During Crop Over 2019, “De Big Show” will run for approximately six (6) weeks (seven performance nights, including the judging night) beginning June 15th and concluding July 20th, at The Sea Rocks Dome at Barbados Beach Club, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church.

The dates of the show:

Opening Night Saturday, June 15

Show nights:

June  22, 29.  July 6, 13, 20

Judging night Tuesday, July 16th

The Cast:

There will be special appearances during the season by some of Barbados’ calypso/entertainment icons.
