Every year 1.3 billion tons of food is thrown away, or roughly 30 percent of global production, is lost or wasted annually, according to the UN Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO). Filmmakers explore the reasons for this waste and ways to fix the problem in the film “Wasted! The Story Of Food Waste” feat. the late Anthony Bourdain. We will explore this topic with a panel discussion with key players in the local Barbadian food system.
